World Deaf Day
In this week, we celebrate World Deaf Day (Werelddovendag). This year, it falls on September 28, 2024. The last week of September, from the 23rd to the 29th, is dedicated to recognizing the Deaf community and their contributions during the International Week of the Deaf. As Voorzitter of Stichting Friends of SERO, I want to shine a spotlight on the Deaf community and the organizations that support them in the Netherlands, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and around the world. Too often underestimated, the Deaf community is vibrant, with a unique culture and industrious individuals – including women and young entrepreneurs – who are making their mark on the world. Institutions like Kentalis, Gallaudet, and the efforts/initiatives in Malawi and Zimbabwe play a crucial role in nurturing and preparing them for success. Job: Relations Coordinator
This is a senior position reporting to the Stichting Administrator/Executive Officer. The Relations Coordinator will identify, manage, and support initiatives and concerns related to stakeholders, supporters, and volunteers. Additionally, the Relations Coordinator will handle issues pertaining to personnel matters. Essentially, the Relations Coordinator will act as Stichting's human resources manager. Volunteers have priority in the selection process. Interested candidates, please email info@stichtingfriendsofsero.com.
